Te Pāti Māori wants to change how New Zealand is governed so that Māori have real power and authority over decisions that affect them. They want the Treaty of Waitangi to be the foundation of the country's constitution, and they want to strengthen Māori governing structures. They also want to return land and make sure gains made by Māori cannot simply be reversed by future governments.
